Spring Break?

Whoever called it that could NOT have been a parent. Hehehe... just joking. Although there certainly is an element of truth to that I am not complaining. Not at all. Everyone has been more then civil around here and it's been rather impressive considering everything this family has been through in the last little while. Not over yet but there is a light at the end of the tunnel...

Had some spare time last night but no spare cash and was in need of a hair cut so I decided to take matters into my own hands. (go figure) My hair was just sort of happening there for a little while which to some might not mean a thing but to me it's like looking at an overgrown garden every time I look in the mirror. Not cool. And not that I am fond of Nelly Furtato but if you know that little blip she does on t.v. of a promo for the Juno awards, black dress, shoulder length hair, bangs... that's kinda what I was aiming for and the first thing Michelle said when she saw me was, "Hey that looks like Nelly's hair do." So I guess mission completed. Of course I'm not like superwoman to the bone so I had to get Conrad to do the finishing touches on it... at first he was hesitant... for one cuz he doesn't want me to cut it. Period. No matter who's hand it's at but I had to point out to him that I didn't want him to grow his hair out but he chose to do so anyways so we were even. Right hun? :) I think he had far too much fun with it after the first chop... it's an addictive thing you know, cutting hair... Especially when it's your own.


A lot has been accomplished this week... and will continue to do so. Adoption meetings. Meetings with birth parents. Goodbyes at the church. Finally meeting up with Shivvy at the Pancake house... and darling I really think you SHOULD have ordered yet a third plate full, cuz heaven forbid you actually listen to me. :) Family time, family time, family time. We all went to see Charlotte's Web.... the girls liked it, the boys didn't. And Sethy... well he's just Sethy. He' s in a category of his own... I'm not even sure if he managed to stay awake through this one. That's usually the case. Pay for the kid to see a movie and he sleeps through it. :) But hey, I guess being the baby of the family he's allowed to pull stunts like that. Shopping with my girls, which was so much fun and so overdue! Got in touch with Christina again... well sort of anyways. We have yet to stop playing phone tag but at least I've got a number to reach her at now. Going on yet another date with my honey tomorrow.... and Saturday we'll have the family over again for some games. And then there is Sunday.....
